What You Need Before You Start 📋

Your JAMB Registration Number
The registration number you got when you registered for JAMB — format is XXXXXXXXXX (10 digits). It is printed on your JAMB slip.

The year you sat for the UTME — e.g. 2025 or 2026.

You can check online at the JAMB portal, via USSD code on any network, or by SMS. No scratch card is needed — JAMB result checking is free.
Note: Unlike WAEC, JAMB does not require a scratch card to check your result. The result checking service on the JAMB portal and via USSD is completely free.
Method 1 — Check Online via JAMB Portal 💻

Go to the JAMB Portal
Open your browser and go to efacility.jamb.gov.ng. This is the official JAMB e-Facility portal where candidates can check results, print slips, and access other services. Avoid any third-party sites claiming to check JAMB results — only use the official portal.

Log In to Your JAMB Profile
Click on "Check UTME/DE Result" or log in with your registration number and password. If this is your first time logging in, use the default password sent to your registered phone number when you registered.

Select Your Exam Year
Choose the year of the UTME you sat for from the dropdown menu. Candidates who have sat multiple times will see results for each year listed separately.

View and Print Your Result
Your result will display showing your score in each of the four subjects and your total score out of 400. Take a screenshot and also use the print function to save a PDF copy for your records and for Post-UTME applications.
Method 2 — Check via USSD Code 📱
If you do not have access to a browser or internet, you can check your JAMB result using the USSD code on any Nigerian network. This works on any mobile phone — no smartphone required.

Your result is showing with your scores per subject and total out of 400. Check your score against the cut-off marks for your chosen institution and course. Scores of 200 and above are generally competitive for most federal universities.

Result Not Yet Released
JAMB has not yet released results for your batch. JAMB typically releases results within a few days to two weeks after the exam. Check the JAMB official website or their social media for the result release announcement.

Result Withheld / Under Review
Your result has been flagged for further review by JAMB. This can happen due to suspected malpractice, biometric inconsistencies, or technical issues during the exam. Visit your nearest JAMB state office with your registration slip and a valid ID to enquire.

Result Cancelled
JAMB has cancelled your result due to confirmed malpractice. A cancelled result means you will need to resit the UTME in the next available sitting. JAMB publishes the list of cancelled results and reasons on their website.

JAMB typically releases results within a few days to two weeks after each exam sitting. Candidates are notified via SMS to their registered phone number when results are available. You can also monitor the JAMB website for announcements.

First confirm you are entering the correct registration number and year. If results have been announced for your sitting and yours is still not showing, visit your nearest JAMB state office with your registration slip and a valid ID. Bring evidence of sitting the exam such as your CBT centre receipt.
A JAMB result is valid for the year it was obtained and can be used for the corresponding admission cycle. JAMB does not allow candidates to use an old result to apply in a later year — you must resit each year you wish to apply for admission.
